At Freres Engineered Wood, we believe in showing our appreciation for our employees’ hard work and commitment. That’s why every year we host the Freres Family Fun Day, a special event to bring our team and their families together for a day of fun and relaxation in the Santiam Canyon.
This event replaced our previous gatherings at Chuck E. Cheese, offering a more engaging experience tailored for both children and adults. From kids’ stations with balloon making, face painting, and arts and crafts to KONA ICE treats and a hot dog stand, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
This year’s Freres Family Fun Day was hosted at Plant 3 to showcase our newly constructed MPP warehouse and celebrate the 95th birthday of Bob Freres, the late father of our current president, Rob Freres.
We received more than 700 RSVPs from employees and their families, creating a vibrant and fun atmosphere. With most activities under the shade of our new warehouse roof, everyone was able to comfortably enjoy the day despite the summer heat.
Attendees enjoyed exciting activities like axe throwing, a dunk tank, and a water slide, all set to the backdrop of live music from Britnee Kellogg, the same singer we’ve hosted the past few years. The event was filled with giveaways, including more than 110 items and numerous gift cards from local stores and restaurants. Our vendors also contributed fantastic raffle prizes, making the day even more special.
We’re always aiming to improve Freres Family Fun Day, ensuring it remains a highlight of the year for our team. We feel it’s important to invest in such events for our employees to show our appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
