Essential Functions
- Installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus or equipment, replaces or repairs parts, detects and replaces defective control modules, tests and makes adjustments.
- Prepares wiring diagrams to record changes.
- Experience with hardware and software programming a benefit.
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot various industrial electronic devices, but not limited to: variable Interface (HMI, VFD), software systems, robotics and instrumentation.
- Develop and maintain programs for Modicon, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC’s, HMI, and Motion Controllers.

Physical Demands
Work in extreme temperatures, dusty, and noisy conditions, work from heights, ability to work out of a man basket and in confined/restricted areas.
Shift work , five days per week, weekends, holidays and shut-downs.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to frequently walk distances, climb ladders, climb up on equipment, or stand for prolonged periods of time
Exposed to airborne particles, dust, dirt and frequent high levels of noise
Ability to bend, stoop, and/or squat frequently
Exposed to outdoor weather conditions, and indoor conditions, including variations in temperature and conditions
Consistently works near, on or around mechanical parts
Frequent reaching, handling, carrying and balancing.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements ; High School Graduate or GED
Experience Requirements : Some Mill experience, particularly with laminated veneer lumber, plywood, etc.
License : Journeyman Manufacturing Plant (PJ) or General Journeyman
