The 2024 NAWLA Traders Market highlighted the strength and innovation within the forest products industry. Whether you were there to network, learn, or showcase your products, the event offered something for everyone.
Day 1: Setting the Stage
The event kicked off with a series of committee and executive meetings, setting the tone for the days ahead. The evening’s Block Party Reception provided a lively atmosphere for attendees to network and reconnect with peers.
Day 2: Keynotes and Innovations
Day two was packed with insightful sessions and networking opportunities. The Peer2Peer Brewing Solutions session and the keynote luncheon were particularly well-received. The tradeshow floor buzzed with activity as exhibitors, including ourselves, showcased their latest innovations. We were thrilled to highlight our Mass Ply Panels (MPP), which are designed to replace traditional building materials like concrete and steel. Our MPP products are not only environmentally friendly but also offer superior strength and versatility for multi-story construction projects.
A major highlight of the day was the launch of the NAWLA Academy. This new online educational hub offers on-demand content to help industry professionals grow their knowledge and skills. The Academy’s flagship course, Foundation of Forest Products, provides a comprehensive overview of the industry, from forestry and wood anatomy to manufacturing and logistics. This self-paced course is designed to be flexible and engaging, making it an invaluable resource for both newcomers and seasoned professionals.
The NAWLA Education Committee played a pivotal role in the development of the Academy. This committee is dedicated to curating and creating programs that expand industry insights and promote professional development across various job roles. Their efforts ensure that the educational content remains relevant and valuable to all members of the forest products industry. The day concluded with a show floor reception, allowing attendees to unwind and discuss the day’s events.
Day 3: Closing with a Bang and Looking Ahead
The final day featured a brunch on the show floor, sponsored by BC Wood, and more opportunities for attendees to explore the trade show exhibits. Then the event wrapped up with anticipation for next year.
